Microsoft is working on a Brand new “Game Mode” feature to bring enhanced PC Gaming Experience for Windows 10 users. The new Game Mode.dll file was spotted by known leaker Walking Cat in the leaked build 14997. Currently the feature is not working but might just get active in the coming builds to be released by Microsoft in the new year.
Though it is not clear whether the Game Mode feature will be working on all games on Windows 10 or games which are downloaded from the Windows Store. We might come to know about the running of the feature once it is released to Insiders with the new Builds of Creators Update in the new year.
.@h0x0d looks like Windows will adjust its resource allocation logic (for CPU/Gfx etc.) to prioritize the "Game" when running in "Game Mode"

Its also not sure whether the feature will work with all Win32 games, however it is very heartening to see Microsoft is taking the PC gaming seriously and is working on releasing the “Game Mode” to all users on Windows 10.
Uptil now there hasn’t been any inbuilt option for this which benefitted playing games directly on Windows 10, but with the Creators update that is bound to change. The Game Mode will be working similarly like Xbox One which allocates resources to make sure the game is running as smoothly as possible.
We need to wait and see if and when Microsoft will be activating the Game Mode on Windows 10 and with which build. In the mean time let us know your thoughts on the Game Mode option the company is working to bring to Windows 10 in the comments below.
